【阿彌陀佛教授】願波羅蜜
 噶千仁波切

接下來是願波羅蜜。佛陀具足善巧,給我們提供了菩提心這個方便,只要我們運用它,就有力量來摧毀心續中的我執、習氣。而我們在這一世即便沒有獲得證悟,也可以仰賴第三個波羅蜜——願波羅蜜,通過祈願的力量得生極樂世界等淨土。


 

 


    事實上,所有極樂世界這樣的淨土都是由願力而成——由菩提心所發之願而成。例如領受皈依戒時,我們發願說:願今世及未來世永不離上師三寶等。那我們的心續中就會生生世世帶著這個願,我們會帶著菩提心的相續,因而我們的祈願就會得以成就。又如皈依戒中有一個祈願:願我來生速遇佛法。因為這個願,我們轉世會遇到好的父母,出生在父母是佛教徒的家庭中,甚至有的懷孕的母親會為腹中的胎兒求受皈依,孩子還未出生就受了皈依,這也是基於願力的緣故。因為願力,我們才會投生在好的環境中、有好的父母,我們會善於學習、具備許多好的品性,也會獲得成辦自他二利的功德。



    
Next, there is the Paramita of prayer. The skillful Buddha has provided a method and when we apply the method of bodhicitta, it has the power to destroy self-grasping, imprints and habitual patterns in the mind-stream. Even if we do not attain enlightenment in this very lifetime, we rely on the third: prayer. By the power of prayer, we can be born in pure lands such as Dewachen and so on.


    
In fact, all the pure lands like Dewachen were created by the power of prayer--prayers made with bodhicitta. When we take the refuge vow for example, we make a prayer saying that in this and all future lifetimes, we will never be separated from the Three Jewels, the lama and so forth. It is this prayer that we will bring with us in our mind continuum from lifetime to lifetime. It is the continuum of bodhicitta that we will bring with us, and therefore our prayers will be accomplished . One prayer in the refuge vow for example is: “May I encounter the Dharma as soon as I am born in the next life.” As a result of this prayer, we are born to fine parents, Buddhist parents; sometimes, even when the mother is pregnant and the child is in the womb, the mother already seeks refuge for the unborn child. The unborn child already receives refuge, and this is also due to the power of prayer. Due to the power of prayer, we are born in a fine birth-place with fine parents; we will study well and acquire many good qualities. We will also acquire the quality of accomplishing the purpose of others and self.



    
在這個世間,我們可以看到有許多具大功德的人,不論在精神領域還是世俗領域,他們所有的善行都是通過願力而成辦的。釋迦佛承受了許多磨難,經歷了五百生清淨轉世與五百生不淨轉世,為眾生髮下了五百大願。正因為這些大願,釋迦佛成就了聖法王國。這並非是輪迴世間的世俗王國,因為佛陀首先是捨棄了輪迴世間的王國,然後才成就了聖法王國。


 

 


    緣於佛陀的願力,佛法在此賢劫中得以廣傳、不會衰退。佛法並沒有衰退過,將來也不會衰退,在此賢劫中有千佛出世,而佛法永遠都不會消亡,這就是聖法王國的威力。所有世俗的、輪迴中的國土都如夢幻泡影,但釋迦佛所成就的聖法王國是不會衰退的。在當今世界,佛法看起來面臨著許多困境,甚至似乎在衰退之中,但其實困難越大,對佛法的增益也越大,這就是釋迦牟尼佛大悲願力的作用。



    
We can see that in this world, there are many people who have such great qualities. All these good activities in the spiritual and worldly sense are accomplished through the power of prayer. The Buddha endured hardships, taking on five-hundred pure and impure births and it is said that he formed five-hundred major prayers or aspirations for sentient beings. As a result of these aspirations, he attained the kingdom of the holy Dharma. This is unlike a worldly mundane samsaric kingdom. First, the Buddha abandoned the mundane samsaric kingdom and in turn therefore attained the kingdom of the holy Dharma.


    
Due to the Buddha's aspiration, now in this aeon, the Buddha's teachings prevail and do not decline. These teachings have not declined and will not decline—there are a thousand Buddhas to come in this aeon, and the Buddhas' teachings will never come to an end. Such is the power of the kingdom of the holy Dharma. All the worldly, samsaric kingdoms are just like an illusion, like a bubble of water, but the kingdom that the Buddha Shakyamuni attained—the kingdom of the Dharma—cannot decline . We have seen in this world that the teachings have encountered many difficulties but in fact, the greater the difficulty-- even if the teachings seemed to decline—in the end, in fact it seemed to enhance them even more. This is due to the prayer, the compassionate prayer that Buddha Shakyamuni made through this power of compassion.



    
密勒日巴尊者曾說,除了成就之願,別無其他祈願。成就什麼呢?當我們生起慈悲而沒有我執之時,就會發起無條件的悲心,這種離於我執、沒有條件的悲心就是密勒日巴所成就之願。正因為這個成就,許多噶舉派的弟子追隨於密勒日巴尊者,透過尊者所具有的力量與所經歷的磨難,身為弟子的我們才得以了悟大手印的實相。密勒日巴尊者為了自他的利益而證悟,透過他的大慈心,身為弟子的我們才能在即生了悟大手印。依據顯教來說,我們要經過三大阿僧祇劫積功累德,才能了悟心性。但由於密勒日巴尊者的恩德,使我們在此生之中即能真實了悟心性。因而我們說,唯一的祈願就是成就之願。
